Project Details: Cathy worked for this geographic information technology firm in Kansas City, Missouri, for over five years as a user interface designer and corporate communications designer. Cathy designed the company's first web site in early 1995. This site redesign was completed in April 1999. Cathy organized and managed a team to collect and develop content and create the architecture. The latter proved to be quite a challenge due to the innate organization of the company, which has overlapping divisions and service areas. Cathy designed multiple Photoshop prototypes and presented them to company executives. An HTML prototype was built with the combined graphics and content, the site tested, then released.
