Community Resource Network (a service of The Shepherd Center)
(1999)
Roles: Interaction design, graphic design, HTML prototyping.
Project Details: The Community Resource Network was to be a web-based GIS (geographic information system) interface for use at Shepherd Centers around Kansas City to help connect senior citizen clients with community facilities such as physicians and transportation services. While at M.J. Harden Associates, Cathy worked with a software developer to design and develop the prototype intranet system incorporating interactive maps. Together with the Shepherd Center representatives, they determined the feature set and defined user tasks. Cathy created the visual design, site structure, and an HTML framework for the application, which would be built in Visual Basic.
